Research suggests that fashion industry has a high carbon footprint because of all the process that involves to produce a garment including, dyeing, sewing, and shipping. In order to lower our carbon footprint, we have built our Atelier by making our garments closer to where it will ultimately be sold, rather than having to source them from overseas. As a result, we have hugely invested to build our own atelier in London where all our garments are produced so that we can control the number of garments we produce. We do not keep large stock of garments; however, we produce garments according to our customer’s need. We produce according to average number of orders we received per design.Our Atelier is equipped with many modern equipment to ensure the highest quality products are produced and avoid excessive energy consumption associated with older equipment.
Our garments are made with various sustainable materials ranging from low impact, natural and organic materials, recycled, up-cycled (pre-existing materials), eco-friendly dyes, and low-waste designs. We do our best to source natural and organic fabrics such linen, cotton, silk, and cellulose fibers (synthetically made fibers originating from plant sources, including viscose, rayon, lyocell, etc). All Our gussets we use on underwear are organic jersey, knitted in Europe, or silk. We also make use of pre-existing materials that was already created but never sold because it does not require the extraction of new resources from our planet. Currently, 99% of our materials and accessories are sourced from European countries that are Eco-friendly dyes including those that require less water, natural, plant-based dyes, and OEKO-TEX 100 certifications, which means that no pesticides, harmful chemicals or other toxic substances have been used to grow the fibres for the materials we use.
We strive to minimize the amount of waste, water and energy we use from the production process. As a result, we reduce waste by eliminating excessive plastic packaging when transporting from our atelier to our customers; by using recycled or., biodegradable shipping materials. We produce small batches of our collection taking into account to not discriminate our customers because of their age or size. We are grateful to have our own atelier which gives us the facility to produce many sizes but keeping stock to a minimum level. We produce as we receive orders to avoid over production. That is the treatment of people including working conditions in the stages of raw material, processing and manufacture activities. That is promoting equal and diverse workforces, creating healthier and safer working conditions, and empowering local communities and craftsmanship for future generations. Thus, to make our brand ethical most of our fabrics, materials and accessories are produced in European Countries where the law is settled by imposing manufacturers numerous obligations to adhere with certain laws, including employment law, health and safety, force label and modern slavery among others.
